USA, 1950s   Loveseat, settee, or sectional sofa section designed by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings and made by Widdicomb. This is an armless design with classic button tufting and refined Robsjohn-Gibbings design details on the walnut edged base/frame. The frame looks to be walnut and the loveseat base is trimmed out in sculpted walnlut. It has a very attractive profile, particularly from a standing position. The button tufting is an attractive counterpoint to the clean-lined frame. The loveseat is signed under the seat cushion. It needs full restoration- the frame is nicked and worn, the upholstery is rough and missing buttons, but the style is clean and classic. One leg had an amateur repair done as pictured. Frame has nicks and age appropriate wear. The scale is 'full size'- in person, it was larger than I originally guessed from photos! This would look great at the foot of the bed or in a living space. It would also be a great addition to existing sectional components from this series.   DIMENSIONS: 52" W x 32.5" D x 31" Overall Height; Seat Height, 16.5".
