USA, 1960s
A matched pair of midcentury modern walnut and glass display cases. These were likely originally used as some kind of retail store display. They have striking angular lines in warm old growth walnut, a white laminate surface, and thick glass top with a center support. The glass tops are glued into the structure- they do not lift out. No maker's marks or labels remain.
DIMENSIONS: 60" W x 24" D x 30.5" H; cabinet height, 16.5"; Interior space, 54.5" W x 24" D at base, 14 5/8" H to the glass; 12" H to the bottom of the center support.
CONDITION NOTES: General marks to walnut surfaces; glass is in fine condition with some chips to edges (generally not exposed surfaces excluding a fleabite or two). White laminate surface has slight discoloration in areas. Walnut surfaces have scratches, marks, and some chips. One cabinet has a long chip to the veneer at one end / edge. Overall in vintage condition. These could be used as is or refinished.
