Walnut nightstand designed by Bert England for John Widdicomb. Single drawer, pull-out writing surface and open shelf. The selections of walnut on this piece are outstanding- sides are
bookmatched and have a distinctive straight grain with deep variation in tones- even the pull out writing surface is wild and interesting. The piece is bordered with solid walnut trim. Drawer has
great detail with a chamfered edge at the top front. An interesting combination of modern and Hollywood regency, in exceptional materials.

CONDITION: Should be restored. Top surface has overall blushing (the translucent whiteness), right side at banding has a scrape (less than dime sized); some marks, nicks, and
age-appropriate wear.
