USA, 1960s   Modular storage piece designed by Renzo Rutili and made by Johnson Furniture- an elegant combination of modern and Asian elements. A single, black-lacquered platform on six brass-capped feet supports a bench or platform on the right side; on the left are two modular pieces. The first is a two-door cabinet with an ornate gold ring pattern overlaying a caned backing. This cabinet has a single adjustable interior shelf that retains the Johnson Furniture label. It has a small hole routed through the bottom of the cabinet that could be used for wiring. The second cabinet is smaller in size with a matching door front. All doors press in to open and latch closed. It has built-in hardware for adjustable shelves inside the cabinet if you would like to add shelves, but no shelves are included for this smaller module.   The display platform and the two cabinets are all modular, allowing for them to be rearranged into a number of different configurations within the platform base. All three pieces attach to the base on the underside via screws. All legs have leveling feet; finished on the back in black lacquer.   CONDITION NOTES: Light marks to the surfaces. Front left third section of the base has a round golden paint spot over the black lacquer finish, pictured. Some light white paint spotting to surfaces and back. Smaller cabinet has some green paint residue on the bottom of the interior. It is on the top of the lacquer as well.    DIMENSIONS Overall, 100.5" W x 20.5" D x 31.25" H; Cabinet 1 is 33" W; Cabinet 2 is 16.5" W; Both cabinets together measure 49.5" W; Platform / Bench Panel is 49.5" W
