USA, 1950s
Herman Miller George Nelson slipper chair, Model 4681. This early George Nelson design would be an excellent slipper chair on its own, or can be combined with other pieces from the series (if you
have them) to form a sectional. The solid birch legs have an angular shape; a single row of button tufts across the back lends perfect punctuation to the chunky form. Pictured on page 48 of the
Herman Miller catalog, 1952.
As a chair, it is not petite, but full sized in width, depth, and height.
CONDITION NOTES: Presents well; there are marks and staining to the fabric. No rips. Some marks to the solid birch legs.
DIMENSIONS: 31" W x 32" D x 31.5" H
