USA, 1960s Herman Miller Eames La Fonda Side Chair in black naugahyde over a greige fiberglass shell. Attractive, classic Eames, originally designed for Alexander Girard's 'La Fonda del Sol' restaurant in New York City. Because Girard wanted chairs with seat backs no higher than dining table tops, Charles and Ray Eames designed these with lower back than their original molded fiberglass chairs. Comes with a zinc H base as pictured. CONDITION NOTES: Presents very nicely; some small marks to seat; foam is soft and there is no delamination.
