Early Eero Saarinen for Knoll tulip chairs with Alcoa markings on the underside of the base. Both chairs swivel and retain their original checkerboard Knoll labels beneath the hunter green wool
tweed cushions.
Knoll tulip side chairs currently retail for $1422 each + $150 additional to add the swivel option (total new retail price- $3144/pair). The vintage chairs are of superior
construction compared to the new chairs.
CONDITION NOTES: Chairs are very bright white- exceptional finish condition given their age. One chair has cracking to the fiberglass at the side curve as pictured- still
functions as it should but this should be repaired. Original hunter green wool tweed / hopsack seat cushions are in excellent condition, but the foam by this point is quite crunchy and should be
replaced. Original checkerboard labels. Great pair.
