USA, 1940s
Early version 3/4" uranium green glass IN-50 coffee or cocktail table designed by Isamu Noguchi for Herman Miller.
CONDITION NOTES: The original glass is in fair condition with one area that has a larger imperfection; this area is smooth to the touch, not sharp. The base, per the daughter of the original owner, was originally ebonized but was refinished to the current blonde / natural ash it is now. I removed the pin from one leg, it appears to have some tape applied to one end at least that I am imagining was for stabilization purposes. I left it as found. Age-appropriate fine scratches and marks, very pleasant patina.
DIMENSIONS: One part of the base measures 14 1/8" H; the second piece measures 14.5" H; One section length is 29.5" L, one at 29.25" L. Base thickness is 1.75".
Glass is 3/4" thickness with a pencil polished edge. It has areas of fine undulation in the perimeter.
Overall, 50" x 36" x 15.5" H
