USA, 1930s   A rare twin sized mid-century daybed designed by Norman Bel Geddes for Simmons. Steel frame with a yellow-green finish. Place a twin mattress on this vintage piece and it's ready to use. Bed surface pulls out via a rolling mechanism to sleep, and pushes back in to use as a daybed. Backrest is hinged with storage inside and upholstered in original green vinyl. An excellent solution for a small space or guest room. We purchased this with a pair of matching lime / apple green dressers (see picture, not included). The dressers were signed, the daybed is not. One rubber bumper is missing from the back where it rests against a wall, one remains. The backrest inserts into the base frame and can remove for transport. Excellent piece by a very important and influential American designer.   DIMENSIONS: 76" L x 36.5" W x 28.75" H; Fully extended, 48"Deep.
