USA, 1950s
Mid-century bar designed by Arthur Umanoff for Raymor. Hot rolled steel frame with nailed vertical slats and wrapped rush open shelving. The top surface appears to be two planks of redwood.
The iron footbar has a gestural form that is very pleasing from all angles. An excellent style with very usable storage and a natural, organic feel. Perfect design for inside or out. Woven
rush has patina; wear commeasurate with age. Overall an excellent look, sturdy construction, and great storage.
