Virginia Walters was the wife of a former President of Herman Miller, Inc., Glenn Walters. Mr. Walters was renowned for leading the production and marketing of Action Office, the first movable
wall system that started the office cubicle trend when it was introduced in 1968. He moved up through Herman Miller, starting in sales and moving into marketing, then to chief operating officer;
he was named president in 1980, and served on the board from 1977 until his retirement.
